Аннотация:
Year trends in alcohol psychosis (AP; n = 132296) and deaths from alcohol poisoning (DAP; n = 27912) were investigated in three Russian cities (Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Chita). At the same time alcohol sales in Moscowwere examined (strong drinks, vine, and beer). Year trend of these indexes in three cities had similar features: increase of AP in March – September with maximum in May – August; decrease of DAP in summer months with minimum in July – August; and decrease of strong alcohol sales in March – September. The increase of beer sales in summer months didn’t compensate in respect of alcohol consumption the decrease of strong alcohol sales. Thus was shown that summer increase of AP is not connected with alcohol consumption, while decrease of DAP depends on decrease of alcohol sales. The assumption was made that the increase of AP in summer months is determined by weather conditions.
