Аннотация:
In recent years, in many countries, including Russia, smoking is becoming more common. However, despite the numbers of papers studied the various effects of nicotine, as far as we know there are no detailed data of the influence of an acute administration of different doses of nicotine on metabolism and locomotor activity of rats. The aim of our work is to study the effects of hourly monitoring of different doses of nicotine on locomotor activity and metabolism of rats in a "home cell" with the registration of calorimeter parameters in modul system "Phenomaster" during 24 hours. It has been found that administration of nicotine at doses of 0.3 mg/kg and 2 mg/ decreases food intake in rats. It was establishes that the level of metabolism in rats administered with nicotine at dose of 1 mg/kg was significantly increased over the 24 hours of observation. Our experiments shows that psychostimulant and anxiolytic effect are developing simultaneously within 3 hours after administration of nicotine. At the same time, changes in metabolic parameters and locomotor activity in rats placed in a quiet conditions with no stress might be continued for 24 hours. It should be noted that these changes may be ambivalent depending on the dose of nicotine and the time after the administration. The resulting data can be considered in the development of new approaches to prevention and treatment of tobacco smoking.
