Аннотация:
Magneto-resonance brain imaging combined with psychological testing of cognitive functions in 44 second stage alcoholic patients at the age of 30 55 years revealed the signs of atrophy in cerebral cortex, especially in its fronto-parietal parts, and also in corpus callosum and paraventricular white matter. All patients were divided on the base of TLFB technique in two parts "few drinking" and "much drinking". The degree of the atrophy and weakening of cognitive functions in the "few drinking" patients was considerably higher than in the "much drinking" ones. It shows the comparatively high sensitivity to alcohol connected with less favorable prognosis in such patients.
