Аннотация:
In order to assess the state of antioxidant defense enzymes activity in acute alcohol intoxication of adolescents we determined the activity of glutathione reductase, glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase and catalase in erythrocytes and pro-oxidant enzyme – myeloperoxidase in granulocytes; we also determined the neutrophils redox in the Toxicology Unit patients. The statistically significant increase was detected in: it was 2.8 times higher in catalase activity, 1.5 times higher in glutathione peroxidase activity, 1.4 times higher in glutathione reductase activity comparing with the control group of teenagers. Myeloperoxidase activity was 1.5 times higher. It was found that the NBT test rates were 1.3 times lower at high blood ethanol concentration, and on the contrary it was 2.6 times higher at the predominance of ethanol in urine. The findings suggest activation of both prooxidant and antioxidant systems of adolescents with acute alcohol intoxication.
