Based on the results of a survey conducted using a survey questionnaire of 300 school students, we have given an analytical review of the epidemiological situation, shown the attitude of the youth towards their health, identified students suffering from computer addiction, as well as students that belong to the "risk group" and are predisposed to addictive behaviours in Sergiev Posad (Moscow Oblast). Our findings show that a large portion of the students prioritised relationships within the family, health, sport and computer games. On the other hand, there was only a small portion of students who were aware of the harmful consequences of excessive computer use. The students largely rely on their teachers to provide information on problems associated with computer and game addiction, and admit there is a need for prevention measures. Of the 300 students, 27 (9%) were in the "risk group" and were predisposed to addictive behaviours. Game addiction was evident in 11 (3.7%) students, while 23 (7.7%) students played computer games at a level that could lead to negative consequences. Internet addiction was identified in 9 (3%) students, while 16 (5.3%) were in the "risk group".
