Psychopathological features of gambling craving and gambling withdrawal syndrome were studied in three patient categories: with isolated pathological gambling, with a combination of pathological gambling and alcoholism and the combination of pathological gambling and drug addiction. The ideational component of gambling craving dominates more frequently in the first study group, affective – in the second group. The high frequency of spontaneous craving generation and high intensity of craving were observed in all groups. There were three clinical variants of gambling withdrawal syndrome: with the prevalence of psychopathological symptoms, with prevalence somatovegetative symptoms and with equal manifestation of symptoms of either kind. Four clinical forms of gaming withdrawal symptoms (obsessive, dysphoric, asthenic and psychopathic) were identified.
