Аннотация:
Introduction. A pathological craving for alcohol can cause continued alcohol consumption or cause a relapse of the disease. Timely and effective relief of this symptom is one of the urgent problems of narcology. Aim: based on the application of NTC and HBO methods (normoxic therapeutic compression and hyperbaric oxygenation) in combination with standardized drug therapy (SDT), to evaluate the effectiveness of stopping the pathological craving for alcohol (PCA) in case of alcohol withdrawal syndrome (AWS) to optimize the treatment process. Methods. A comparative assessment of the dynamics of AWS was performed in 3 groups of patients who underwent: treatment with only drugs (control group) and two comparison groups that underwent complex therapy with SDT in combination with NTC and HBO. The main research tools were the "Scale of pathological craving for alcohol" [V. B. Altshuler, 1992]. Results. The use of NTC and HBO methods in combination with SDT allows for faster and more effective relief of PCA, mainly due to the vegetative and affective components. There is a specificity of the impact of each method of NTC and HBO in complex therapy on various components of PCA in AWS. Conclusion. The use of NTC and HBO methods in combination with SDT allows to optimize and improve the effectiveness of care in patients with AWS.
