Gambling addiction, comorbid with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Aim: clinical case study of pathological gambling comorbid with obsessive-compulsive disorder is demonstrated. Methods. The clinical case is presented by a male patient 33 years old, who is in the National Research Center for Addiction Problems (Diagnosis: pathological gambling F63.0 (ICD10); F42.2(ICD10), Mixed obsessional thoughts and acts). Materials included: clinical interview, pathopsychological techniques – "Exception items", "Сonceptions", "Classification", "Icon", "Analysis of Proverbs and sayings", "10 words" A. R. Luria, "Schulte Table", a multi-factor personality questionnaire MMPI; complex to explore non-chemical forms of addictions – "5-factor personality questionnaire", "Questionnaire depression A. Beck", "Toronto alexithymia scale", the questionnaire "Ways of coping" by R. Lazarus, as well as the clinical interview. Results and discussion. A clinical case demonstrates the possibility of coexistence of various psychopathological and pathopsychological symptoms, raise an issue of relative and absolute comorbidity of gambling disorder with OCD and other mental disorders. Conclusions. The clinical and pathopsychological features of online gambling are clearly demonstrated, which, quite possibly, in the future ICD-11 project will be allocated to a separate category.
