Аннотация:
A review of available scientific sources has been performed, information on the history of the appearance of synthetic cathinones (SCath), epidemiological data of SCath use, their pharmacological characteristics and mechanism of action are systematized and briefly presented. By means of an analytical review the most common features of psychotic disorders associated with synthetic cathinones have been identified and include such characteristics as the absence of a psychiatric history in the past, an acute onset without visible predisposition, "fragmentary" psychotic symptoms, partial or formal criticism of the condition. Also, approaches to the treatment of psychotic disorders are described based on the material of foreign clinical cases and Russian recommendations.
