Аннотация:
There is a consensus that in order to improve the results of preventive and therapeutic interventions for alcohol use disorders, it is necessary to understand the mechanisms underlying addictive behavior. The dysfunctional processes that accompany alcohol addiction, such as craving for alcohol, increased tolerance and relapses, can be understood by studying the functioning of cognitive processes, such as control functions, attention or motivation, and the underlying neural systems. Electroencephalography is used as a measure of evaluation of the neural systems underlying the cognitive components of alcohol dependence. Using various methodological approaches of EEG, we can obtain important information necessary for understanding the pathological processes in alcohol dependence.
