Аннотация:
Early detection of cognitive impairments is becoming an important stage in the rehabilitation of patients with alcohol dependence due to the need to promptly identify the "risk group" – patients with the threat of developing such intractable diseases as Korsakov’s syndrome and Wernicke’s encephalopathy, the success of which lies in their early detection. Screening for cognitive impairment is becoming economically feasible due to the fact that cognitive dysfunction reduces the effectiveness of rehabilitation and is one of the reasons for the increased frequency of relapses. The article discusses the role and place of screening in psychodiagnostics and rehabilitation of drug addicts, discusses new and most common screening tools, describes their advantages and disadvantages. The problems are touched upon, including the features of the theoretical foundations of screening instruments, the specifics and conditions of the scope of their application, testing and validation of foreign methods in Russia. The ways of solving the existing problems, the prospects for adapting foreign experience in domestic science and practice are outlined.
