Аннотация:
We discuss clinical and laboratory variants of the results of the examination of patients of the narcological dispensary identified in the framework of the pilot study. The examination was conducted in order to exclude the diagnosis of drug addiction disorder. The expediency of including the determination of the level of phosphatidylethanol (PEth) in the required scope of the survey along with the determination of the levels of CDT, GGT, AST, ALT and psychometric tests is being considered. Statistically significant differences were obtained in the levels of PEth, CDT, GGT, AST, ALT and psychometric tests between a group of healthy individuals and a group of individuals with a diagnosis of alcohol addiction. Preliminary findings contain a positive assessment of the use of a direct marker of excessive alcohol consumption in the diagnosis of substance abuse disorders. Given the higher diagnostic specificity, the PEth level indicates excessive alcohol consumption by the subjects.
