Аннотация:
Introduction. The review presents a non-systematic, descriptive review of works on the comorbidity of major depressive disorder and dysthymia among people with alcohol dependence.
Methods. A search, selection and review of publications devoted to the designated topic was carried out. The search queries were formulated in such a way as to cover the most versatile aspects of the comorbidity of the indicated violations. The search was conducted in Google Scholar databases, ELibrary.ru, Scopus, PubMed. The criteria for non-inclusion/exclusion were: abstracts; monographs; manuals; textbooks. The search was carried out using search queries by various combinations of these words: «alcohol use disorder», «alcoholism», «alcohol dependence», «depression», and some others.
Results. Based on the work carried out, it can be summarized that patients with alcohol dependence and depression showed a more severe clinical profile with a wider range of symptoms and a greater number of concomitant diseases compared to subjects with independent diseases.
Conclusion. Taking into account the heterogeneity of disorders and key differences in the studied comorbid diseases can help develop more targeted and personalized treatment methods to improve outcomes for this population group.
