Аннотация:
This article illustrates the use of FFT (MacLeod & Byrne, 1996) and episodic future modeling to assess prospective thinking in a patient with pathological gambling (PAG) compared with a healthy respondent. The PAI patient presented fewer events on the Future Fluency Task (FTT), in particular, the number of positive events was limited compared to the results of the healthy respondent. In episodic modeling, the patient’s images are less detailed and specific representations of future events; there is less saturation of images with the amount of detail and sensory-contextual information in comparison with the episodic models of a healthy respondent. The goal of future research may be to evaluate the impact of training in episodic modeling and specificity training in patients with PAG on the course and outcomes of treatment for gambling addiction.
