Aims and scope

The journal Narcology publishes the results of scientific research related to chemical and behavioral dependence, combining research conducted in various disciplines.

The journal aims to serve international and interdisciplinary scientific and clinical communication; strengthen the links between science, politics and society; to stimulate and improve the quality of discussions related to the problem of addictions; to bring the latest results of fundamental and applied research in the field of problems of dependence to the greatest number of doctors and scientists, including specialists from related fields of science and medicine, teachers, social workers, as well as professionals working in the organization of health care and defining drug policy.

The most important tasks of the journal are:

publication of research results of domestic and foreign scientists on contemporary issues in the field of problems of dependence;

strengthening integration and increasing the level of information exchange between Russian-speaking scientists, doctors, social workers and healthcare organizers working in institutions of different countries and departments;

the coverage of interdisciplinary research in the field of dependence problems;

Integration of Russian scientists into the international scientific community.

We are looking for materials that are technically competent, original and contain information or ideas of interest to our readership. The sphere of problems of dependence encompasses biological, epidemiological, clinical, medico-social, historical and organizational-methodological studies related to various types of dependence.

In addition to original research, the journal publishes editorials, commentaries, reviews, book reviews.
