Аннотация:
The study is devoted to behavioral characteristics of students with experience of drug use, took place in 2019. It was survey among 1704 students of some secondary schools and universities from three cities of the country. In the survey used questionnaire that includes some standardized scales and subscales describing various aspects of the respondents’ lives. The study was of an exploratory nature with purpose to search for statistically significant differences in a range of indicators between respondents with and without experience of drug use. The results of the study was a description of the found differences between the main and control groups, which indicate probable predictors and risk factors for drug addiction. In particular, students with experience of drug use, in contrast to their peers, have more actual sources of psychological stress and fewer protective resources. They are less likely to feel safe both at home and in school. They have poorer relationships with their parents and are less likely to rely on support from parents or relatives. They are less likely to assess their own physical health and psychological well-being as good, and are more likely to experience anxiety and depression. The study also made some conclusions about the readiness of young people to seek professional help.
