Аннотация:
Background. Many factors are now known to influence the individual response to medications. These include: gender, age, bad habits, functional state of the body, the nature of the underlying disease and its etiology, concomitant therapy, as well as genetic characteristics of the patient. In most cases, it is genetic characteristics that cause the development of adverse drug reactions. The study of the genetic characteristics of patients formed the basis for the development of pharmacogenetics and, later, of personalized medicine. The basis of personalized medicine is pharmacogenetic testing. In order to simplify and accelerate the interpretation of the results of pharmacogenetic testing into the language of a physician, specialized decision support systems are being developed, which serve as an auxiliary tool for the physician to prescribe the most effective and safest therapy to patients.
Aim: to systematize scientific data on the pharmacogenetics of benzodiazepine tranquilizers and on decision support systems.
Methods. Representative PubMed and Google Scholar search databases were used as research material. The literature search was conducted between 2015 and 2021. The following words and combinations were used as search tools the following words and combinations were used: pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics, DSS, decision support system, personalized medicine.
Results. The available scientific sources were reviewed; the information on pharmacogenetics, personalized medicine and the decision support system was systematized and briefly presented.
